My love affair with YSL Mon Paris started in 2016. I remember the moment, it was more romantic than Romeo and Juliet and it was love at first sniff and obsession at first spray. Since that initial connection, YSL has added more to their range and my romance has become more of a love triangle, especially now there is a new addition to the Mon Paris Collection.
YSL Mon Paris Couture | My New Obsession
If you are a fan of YSL, you know they have been smashing it lately. Featuring drool-worthy packaging, seductive scents and the luxury YSL name, it’s no wonder their fragrance range has become coveted by many. I for one can not get enough.
Speaking of amazing packaging, can we take a moment to appreciate how gorgeous this bottle is. In all fairness, it is the same design as the other scents in this range but the bow tie has changed to black with silver polka dots which is super cute, fun and sophisticated in all in one. Surprisingly, that is also a good way to describe the actual scent as well.
The YSL Mon Paris fragrance range is iconic for the romantic inspiration behind the scent. I never attempt to describe fragrance notes because honestly, I would just be copying and pasting it from the back of the fragrance box. However, I can confidently say that the YSL Mon Paris Couture follows a similar path of its predecessors. It has similar notes but the fragrance is softened by the delicious Lychee notes and a refreshing citrus hit. I am the first to admit that I am not a huge citrus fan when it comes to fragrances but this is paired perfectly with the other notes and the combination makes this scent softer, lighter and ideal for day wear, especially for those who found the earlier versions to be too heavy for daily use.
We all love to smell delicious, especially on those extra low maintenance days (you know the ones) and a good fragrance can make you feel like a million bucks, even on the days when you are home, with no makeup, a man bun and your favourite Lorna Jane hoody. Beleive it or not, that phrase sums up my look today to a T. Sucks for my new husband but hey, at least I still smell amazing right?
If you love scents which are fruity & fresh with a hint of floral & musk, this one is worth a spritz. Everytime YSL releases a new fragrance, I gain a new obsession. I think I love each release more than the last but when I any of them, I literally fall head over heels in love all over again.
