Shiseido inspires me. I truly can not believe how underrated this makeup brand is, in today’s market. It’s a hidden gem and I feel so lucky and privileged to be able to share the new releases from Shiseido which had designed for the Makeup Series 2017AW but has also been timed perfectly for the spring season.
New Releases from Shiseido | Makeup Series for 2017 AW
Shiseido Instroke Eyeliner: Inspired by Japenese caligraphy, I almost fell in love with this product before I opened the jar. The Instroke Eyeliner is a makeup tribute to calligraphy, everything from the packaging to the texture and shades of this product is honouring this art form and I love that. The Instroke Eyeliner comes in 6 shades ranging from jet black to khaki green burgundy and more, using deep tones like the tones used in calligraphy.
Of course, my hands went straight for the black and I almost feel like someone needed to slap my hand away. I was not wrong, the black eyeliner is incredibly gorgeous but the Khaki liner, well, I had to pause for a moment. Fricken beautiful. All the liners have a creamy, pigmented formula and once they set, they are not budging. Great for long wear, not so good for the girl who takes an hour to do a winged liner (aka. me).
Shiseido Paperlight Cream Eye Colour: Inspired by Washi paper, the Shiseido Paper light eye creams are light, delicate and have a silky smooth formula which can be worn sheer or layered, depending on your mood. Available in 8 fun shades, these shadows are the perfect shades for spring. I adore the pops of colour from this range and I love how inspiring these shades are.
The colour swatched are Namiki Bright Green: Vivid and fresh, like the greenery of trees, Sango Coral: warm and calm, like coral in the ocean and Uzuzumi Beige Grey: Diluted ink, natural and calm and because I am safe, this is my go-to shade! I am getting creative and working on eye looks using the two brighter shades so if you want a tutorial using a bright colour, let me know.
Shiseido Rouge Rouge: These are one of my favourite lipstick formulas of all time. The colours are rich, pigmented, creamy, buttery, amazing! What more can I say? Shiseido has added 8 new shades to their original line and these lipsticks just leave me in awe. Move aside Nars Audacious, these lipsticks are coming from your crown. They are just so incredible. I have a few nude tones to share but they have also added pops of pink too which look incredible.
How gorgeous is this newest range from Shiseido? I love everything about it and I find it so interesting hearing about what has inspired a product, a colour or a texture. Let me know what products you like the look of and any you want to hear a full review on!
